AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division. Championship awards will be given to the winners of each mixed fencing event. Iron man/woman awards will be given to the man or woman placing the highest overall in all three fencing weapons. 

SPORTSMANSHIP: Good behavior between all players, coaches, and supporters is mandatory in the Cornhusker State Games. Special sportsmanship awards will be presented on each day of the competition.

TEAM COMPETITION: For the fencing team competition, teams will consist of three fencers of the same weapon. Teams will compete in a round-robin format. Only match wins will be recorded. To participate, register on-site by noon the day of the event with $15 team fee (collected on site). Team events will begin immediately following the end of the last event of the day. Must be pre-registered in an individual event in order to enter a team event.




Rules

ALL EVENTS: USFA safety rules will apply. Sweat pants are allowed. Long pants required for epee. USFA membership not required. Masks will be tested in all events.

HEMA EVENTS: View official HEMA rules at 
this  https://omahakdf.wixsite.com/okdf/cornhusker-state-games-rules. Longsword safety equipment will be based on steel. Rapier fencers are required to use a throat protector. Classic saber fencers are required to comply with epee safety requirements.

NOTES: Age classifications are based on USFA rules. Fencers are eligible to participate in more than one event. Fencers are invited to compete with more than one weapon.

REGISTER BY THE DISCOUNT DEADLINE OF WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21:
First event - $34
Additional events - $10

REGISTER BETWEEN JUNE 22 AND JULY 5:
First event - $39
Additional events - $10


FINAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE –DAY OF EVENT:
The final registration deadline for this sport is the day of the event. This sport will accept late registrations with an additional $5 late fee.

MULTI-EVENT DISCOUNT NOTE: If registering for multiple events, all entries must occur in the same transaction to receive the multi-event discount.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition in the 2017 Cornhusker State Games; White cotton athlete shirt (micro-fiber upgrade available); Pass for free admission to SportFest, the Opening Ceremonies, and all competition venues; 2017 Nebraska Sports Council Yearbook (available at packet pickup); Sponsor gifts and coupons.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.
