Olympic Athletes Coming Home to

Put On Clinics for Youth


Olympic Volleyball silver medalist Jordan Larson and Bobsled gold medalist Curt Tomasevicz will host sport clinics in five communities across Nebraska in five days from June 24-28. The clinics are part of the LiveWellNebraska.com wellness tour across the state which will also feature a Cornhusker State Games Torch Arrival Ceremony in each community.

Larson will help local organizers conduct a volleyball-specific clinic and Tomasevicz will focus on a speed and agility clinic designed for all sports.  All registered youths, ages 5-18, will receive a clinic shirt, an autographed photo and other sponsor gifts.

The Cornhusker State Games are conducted by the Nebraska Sports Council, which also conducts the LiveWell Challenge Series, the Mud Run and the Pumpkin Run.

April 26, 2013 - Five vocalists have been chosen as finalists in the Cornhusker State Games National Anthem Contest presented by Amigos/Kings Classic.   Finalists include Lindsay Aherns from Omaha, Nathan Schreiter from Hallam, Payton Eyler from Fremont, Wade Kendle from Lincoln and Abby Nelson from Lincoln. April 5, 2013 - The 29th annual Cornhusker State Games will feature competition in more than 60 sports including the return of ice hockey and figure skating. Registration is now open for the mid-summer amateur sports festival, most of which takes place July 19-28 at more than 70 venues in Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding communities. Read more...
