The 2013 Cornhusker State Games are set for July 19-28. With an estimated 13,000 athletes participating in more than 60 sports, 2013 is expected to be one of the biggest and best Cornhusker State Games ever.

As in the past, the Nebraska Sports Council will offer an opportunity for low-income athletes and families to take part in the Games at no charge to the athlete. The average entry fee is $25, and these fees for the underprivileged have primarily been covered by individual donations.

Thanks to rising needs, the assistance fund needs a big boost. In response, we're asking you to consider adopting one or more athletes with a donation to the Nebraska Sports Council. All $25 donors will be recognized in the 2013 Nebraska Sports Council Yearbook and will be listed at CornhuskerStateGames.com (below). Those who donate $100 or more will automatically join the NSC Booster Club and receive a special gift from the Nebraska Sports Council.

You can make your donation online at the link below or by sending a check to the Nebraska Sports Council office (P.O. Box 29366, Lincoln, NE 68529). We strongly encourage you to pass this note on to your contacts, letting them know that you're taking part in the program and indicating how many athletes you are supporting.
