General Information

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division. 

COMPETITION FORMAT: 
The Cornhusker State Games Ninja Challenge is an American Ninja Warrior style obstacle competition with obstacles similar to the show including a buzzer to hit if you should defeat the course. Participants won’t know exactly what the course will be until the day of the event.  Just like the athletes on the show!

The course is designed by American Ninja Warrior veteran athletes for the best ninja experience possible.

Length of course will be 6-8 obstacles including warped walls (two wall heights for age groups).
Course has a time limit of 3:45 minutes for completion, for all ages.
Once an obstacle has been attempted, it may not be re-started.
No chalk may be used on the course at any time.
Upon completion of the course, athlete must immediately depart course area in preparation for next athlete.
One person may be allowed on the sideline of the competitor while they are running the course, but in no way assisting the competitor or risk disqualification.
Competitors may not warm-up on the course on competition day, nor touch the course in any way or can risk disqualification.
The course will be available to try during the exhibition period July 18th-20th in public use time windows, for a small fee, as to not give an advantage over other competitors.

Individual - 8am to 5pm:

Male and Female divisions available in each of the following age groups/divisions:

7-10 Years
11-13 Years
14-17 Years
18-29 Years
30-39 Years
40-49 Years
50-59 Years
60 & Over

*Age determined as of December 31, 2018

Team Course - 5pm to 8pm:

Male ​2-Person Team
Female ​2-Person Team
Coed ​2-Person Team

*NOTE: Team Course is only 11 & Older and combination can be any age group.
*Athletes are able to compete in Individual AND Team

Ninja Train & Play/Practice Rounds

Date:  Wednesday, July 18 - Friday, July 20

Time:  8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Location: Lincoln East High School, Lincoln (1000 S. 70th Street - View map)

Registration Fee:  

  • $20 for Full Course (8 Obstacles and unlimited access for 2 hours)
  • $10 for Half Course (3 Obstacles)
  • $5 for a Single Obstacle (1 attempt)

IF REGISTERED BY THE DISCOUNT DEADLINE:

Individual Format-
$50 per event until July 6

Team Format-
$90 per team until July 6    

*If competing in both Individual and Team, $15 will be taken off total price.

ONLINE REGISTRATION NOTE: If registering for a team online, please note that the system will ask you to enter your team name and roster prior to selecting your sport and division. In the INDIVIDUAL Shipping dropdown menu, be sure to select “TEAM” for each team member. If you wish to have your team packet shipped, you will select that in the TEAM Shipping dropdown menu.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition in the 2018 Cornhusker State Games; White cotton athlete shirt (micro-fiber upgrade available); Pass for free admission to SportFest, the Opening Ceremonies, and all competition venues; 2018 Nebraska Sports Council Yearbook (available at packet pickup); Sponsor gifts and coupons.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.
