ELIGIBILITY: Any full-time student in the sixth, seventh, or eighth grade at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. Grade just completed. At the Gun Club, students may need to provide proof of school status via a school I.D. card.

FORMAT: Event will consist of 50 16-yard targets.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to top three boys in overall standings, top three girls in overall standings, and to first, second, and third place in each grade. Overall medalists are not eligible to receive medals for their respective grade. Ties will be decided by a shoot off of two targets per post, unless time does not allow, then the longest run from the front will be used to break ties, except in the case of 50 straight and for gold.

TEAM AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze for all team members on the top three teams. Team awards will also be provided for the top three female teams. Ties will be decided by a shoot off of two targets per post, unless time does not allow, then the longest run from the front will be used to break ties, except for gold. Shooters scores will also be used to determine individual awards.

TEAM ELIGIBILITY: Each team member must be from the same school, unless their school has no regular team or the school team is not competing, then the student can shoot for another school’s team. *Junior high shooters are allowed to move up and complete in the High School event, but they will not be eligible for any Junior High awards. Coaches may need to score their squad if insufficient trap workers are available.

SQUAD ASSIGNMENTS: Teams must enter their squad in their shooting order and the team must select their preferred shooting time of EARLY or LATE on the Team Entry Form.  Any changes to the squad shooting lineup must be made by Monday, July 17.

NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: Attention Junior High and Senior High shooters.  If you are interested in also shooting Sporting Clays that is scheduled for the same day, your shooting times can be arranged so you can shoot your 16 yard event early (prior to the scheduled 7:30 a.m. start) and allow you to compete at your sporting clays event  prior to needing to shoot your handicap (Senior High only).  Call me if you have any questions.  402-430-1759. Dave Tunink
